Remote Experience

I think everyone should have the opportunity to write the history of their own life. Not only for the purpose of remembering, but also passing on to future generations. Think about it - wouldn't it be awesome to have a book of your grandfather's experiences from his perspective? That's essentially what the Motorcycle Diaries by Che Guevara is, or the Diary of Anne Frank even. Look at how their experiences have affected so many people's perspective.

Writing about experiences also serves the great purpose of forcing you to make sense of things. It's not always necessary to classify and define every experience as being meaningful, but there are certain stories in everyone's life that could mean more to future readers than their author.

In truth, art is perspective made tangible. Experiencing life from many perspectives is possible as long as we can embrace the desire to learn something from everyone, and accept that we are can only define ourselves in this world by our thoughts and actions.

I think we could all benefit if we switch from the mentality of "be anything you want to be" to one of "be everything you can be".
